Postponed League matches

Just a reminder that if an away team postpones a league match with a home team that provides after match food 24 hours must be given, if not the home team has the option to claim the match.

Singles & Pairs Competitions

The singles & Pairs competitions have been drawn out and are now able to view on the relevant pages, note the handicap singles has more rounds than the rest so the closing dates are shorter. Please play the matches within the dates for each round to keep the competitions on track and send the results to the secretary direct not on the Guildford league Whatsapp chat, which is for league results. The new site will be updated this week but will only show the 1st round of each competition as only names pre-entered can be put in not ‘winner match etc’. The next round will be added when 1st rounds are completed.

New Website

We are trialling a new website along side the existing site, the new site has been set up with all player names and contact numbers added, handicaps are next to the contact numbers in brackets. All team cup draws are on the site but only the 1st round as I can only enter team names and not ‘winner match’ for second rounds and so on. The second round fixtures will be added when the results are submitted. The new site will automatically update player stats after league results are put on by me. Please make sure you print all players names and frame scores clearly, putting in frame scores will give a better reflection of player stats. Use the scorecards i sent on the Guildford league whatsapp chat for team captains or on paper. Take a photo after the match and put it on the league chat as per last season

The address for the new site is : www.leaguesnooker.co.uk then on the home page just click on Guildford league from the list which is in alphabetical order.

Team cup draws

The team cup draws have now been added to the website and are available to view on the relevant pages. Note the Reg Elliott cup has an extra round so will have an earlier closing date for the first round. Please be sure to play the matches within the dates for each round to keep the competions on track.

There are 22 teams in the 3 snooker leagues, 6 in the premier and 8 in divisions 2 & 3, teams in the premier league will play each other 4 times playing 6 frames and can use 3,4,5 or 6 players. There are 4 team cups now with the Mike Newland cup returning and is a 4 player scratch cup. The Riley, Reg Elliott and Bob Robins are all handicap cups, the Riley and Bob Robins are 4 players over 4 frames with players playing against their opponents handicap. The Reg Elliott cup is 3 players playing 3 frames where the handicaps of each team are added together and the difference between the totals is the handicap.
